With the sunset touching her back, she walked in beauty and a tender light. A snow white carpet revealed a glistening pair of champagne heels. And in gentle strides Carla made her way down the aisle, a thousand miles removed from anything other than her love for Dirk. Her big sultry hazel green eyes evoke the feeling of a time where photographers still shot Vintage Hollywood Glamour. And glamorous she was…
The rains kept away for a while, but as a Carla’s sister dedicated a love-fuelled speech to mother-and-daughter not even the night sky could keep it together any longer and poured down all of the love, joy & happiness bottled up in every human heart that day. Tears quickly turned into laughter though, as a bright little starlet buzzed around the room leaving a trail of smiles wherever she goes… Tatum.
“I met Dirk at a social event, and remember sharing with mom that I had met someone that night and she randomly guessed his name before I could even tell her.”
“When I introduced Carla to my friends I was at a loss for words and introduced her to them as my, “uhm friend…”
The rest as they say is history and it wasn’t long before they shared an equally important date in their calendar, the birth of their daughter, Tatum Maxine Vermeulen.
Carla inherited her Grandmother’s 1955 Red Gold Wedding Band which Dirk complemented with a Morganite Stone he spent months searching for. What a lucky girl 🙂
Dirk & Carla spent a wonderful night with their friends at Towerbosch, celebrating well into the early hours of the morning.
