It was during an evening drive that Hannes confessed he had feelings for Aimee, and to his surprise she immediately replied that she felt the same way! “It was the most exciting moment of my life and after that evening I really saw Aimee”, a beaming Hannes explains.
Aimee remembers her exact outfit the night she met Hannes on the balcony of a mutual friend’s apartment. “He gave me such great compliments”. They had a work function on the Friday evening and invited her to come along. Not much of a dancer, Aimee was just shy of mortified when Hannes asked her for a dance but the moment he took her in his arms, her heart started racing. It only took one song to confirm that they had some serious chemistry.
Her kindness was the thing that stood out and attracted Hannes the most, “she makes me feel like the most important person in the world. I gave her my whole hart and she has given me that same love back every day. IT’S THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!”
After Hannes asked Aimee’s parents’ permission to marry her, he immediately started planning the perfect evening to make it as special as possible. New places and foods are the little adventures they enjoy sharing the most, so preparing the ultimate fondue with all Aimee’s favourite foods was a no brainer. Complete with bubbly on ice and some subtle background music. Only he realized he forgot to purchase cooking gel for the burner, so he asked his soon-to-be fiancé, to stop at the store on the way home and luckily for him, she didn’t ask too many questions.
They enjoyed a lovely evening together and when the time came to surprise her, Hannes told an unsuspecting Aimee to close her eyes. Ring in hand and on one knee, he invited the love of his life to open her eyes and asked for her hand in marriage.
